John tanner
John Tanner ( born September 22, 1944 ) is an American politician and member of the US House of Representatives from the 8th District of Tennessee ( Democratic Party ) from 1989 to the present (11 consecutive terms). President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
He graduated from the University of Tennessee , in 1976 - 1988 was a deputy of the State House of Representatives. It is considered a prominent figure in the moderately conservative part of Democratic congressmen.
