Okiroya

Okiroya ( other Greek: Ὠκυρ (ρ) όη , also Okirroya, Okiroe, Okironea) - the name of the characters in ancient Greek mythology.

1. The girl from Samos , daughter of Imbras and Chisia. In Miletus, at the festival of Artemis, Apollo wanted to abduct her, the sailor Pompil helped her escape. However, Apollo abducted the virgin, and turned Pompil into a fish [1] .

2. Also Hippa . The daughter of the centaur Chiron and Hariklo . Most often, Okiro was portrayed as a young beautiful girl, sometimes as a centaurida. Possessed the gift of divination. The myth about Okiroi is contained in Ovid's Metamorphoses: when Chiron brought little Asclepius to his house, Okiroya predicted in detail his whole future fate. But before Okiroya finished her speech on the future greatness of Asclepius, the angry gods turned her into revealing the secret secrets of fate into a wordless mare.
