Gauri ( Urdu غوری ) is a Pakistani medium-range ballistic missile . It is a modification of the Khatf-V missile, capable of carrying a nuclear charge. According to the Pakistani side, it has a range of 1,300 km.

On February 1, 2008, Pakistan conducted a successful test of a new version of the rocket. Place launch and fall of the rocket is kept secret. The launch was overseen by President Pervez Musharraf , commander-in-chief of the Pakistani army and a number of other officials.

Operation
The first test launch of the Gauri was performed on April 6, 1998 near Jalam , 76 miles south of the capital Islamabad [1] .
It was reported that the rocket hit the designated target in the desert province of Baluchistan . Later, some sources reported that the first launch was not successful and the rocket burned at the entrance to the dense layers of the atmosphere [2] .
Subsequent launches were conducted in December 2010 [3] and November 2012. The November launch of 2012 was carried out by the strategic rocket group of the . The test launch was monitored by the new Strategic Command and Control Support Complex (SCCSS) and it is believed that the launch target was the SCCSS test, not the missile itself [2] .
