Geography
It is located in the southern part of the region, on the river called Besed , at the confluence of its left tributary Nevplyukh. Located 18 km south-west of the district center Ershich , and 3 km from the border with Belarus .

Population - 325 inhabitants ( 2012 ).
History
Kuzmichi village has been known since the 17th century as the property of the Roslavl landowners Chelishchevs and Vishnyakovs [1] .
In 1748, it became a village after a wooden church was built at the expense of Prince Cantemir in the village, dedicated to the martyrs Sergius and Bacchus [1] .
Not later than 1859, the existing stone temple of the Ascension of the Lord was erected [2] .
