Ship History
The boat was laid down on July 23, 1934 at the factory No. 194 named after A. Marty in Leningrad , in 1934 it was transported in sections to the factory No. 202 Dalzavod in Vladivostok by rail, launched on June 13, 1935 , on October 30 1936 became part of 33 divisions of 3 submarine brigades of the Pacific Fleet based in Nakhodka .
Service
On August 19, 1938, when the dock was flooded after repair, water began to flow into the 5th compartment. The dock was drained, the fault was found and fixed. The culprit of the leak was an incorrectly assembled kingston.
The Great Patriotic War met the beginning of the Second World War as part of the 12th submarine division of 1 separate Pacific Fleet submarine division in Nakhodka .
The start of hostilities against Japan on August 9, 1945, the Shch-127 met under the command of the 3rd-rank captain M. D. Melnikov in the 12th division of the 4th submarine brigade based in Nakhodka .
On August 14, 1945, she discovered a squad of warships in the Sea of Japan as part of a battleship or cruiser, accompanied by four destroyers. I conducted observation for more than an hour, reported the course and speed, until I lost contact. She did not participate in the hostilities.
On June 10, 1949 it was renamed "S-127."
On November 9, 1956, it was withdrawn from the combat strength of the fleet and put on conservation.
March 29, 1957 expelled from the fleet.
