Limay ( Spanish Río Limay ) is a river in southern Argentina , one of the greatest rivers of Patagonia . The river originates in the south of the province of Neuquen and flows into the Rio Negro River .

The name of the river comes from the Araukan language , the word Limai means a clear river .
