Ylläs ( Fin. Ylläs ) or Yullästunturi ( Fin. Yllästunturi ) - a hill ( tunturi , fjeld ) with a height of 719 meters in Finland in the west of the province of Lapland in the municipality of Kolari .

At the foot of the hill on the opposite sides are two villages: Akaslompolo ( Fin. Äkäslompolo ) in the north and Ylläsjärvi ( Fin. Ylläsjärvi ) in the south. They are connected by an 11 km long road running around the mountain. Both villages receive the bulk of tourism income.

Ski Center
Ylläs is a popular center for skiing and cross - country skiing. The region is known for the slogan “Ylläs - number one!” ( Fin. Ylläs on ykkönen! ). Many companies in the district use the word Ylläs in their names.
Yllästunturi is the only mountain in Finland where two ski resorts are located at once: Sport Resort Ylläs (Iso-Ylläs ski center) from Yllääsärvi and Ylläs Ski Resort (Y1 ski center) from Akaslompolo.
