Origin of title
Named at the beginning of the 20th century in the neighboring Kadashevsky lanes, due to its location in the place of the palace Kadashevsky khamovnaya (weaving) settlement [1] . Previously called Dumb Lane [2] .
History
The impasse arose in the XVII century in the Kadashevsky khamovnaya (weaving) settlement. It was originally a lane and went to the Great Ordynka , but at the end of the XVIII century turned into a dead end [3] . On the north side, the territory of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Kadashi adjoins the deadlock. In 2004, the Kadashevskaya Sloboda museum was opened at an impasse [4] .
