Chistik is a glacial , thermokarst lake in the north of the Smolensk region of Russia in the Demidov district, 2.5 km west of the village of Przhevalskoye . Belongs to the Mezhy river basin - connected by a channel to Sapsho Lake. It is part of the Smolensk Lake District National Park. Area - 54 ha.

Etymology
In the central part of Russia, the words “clean”, “clean” can be used in the meaning “open place” (both natural and “created” by man), and in the Smolensk region - “a large sphagnum swamp, completely treeless”. It is likely that the name of the lake is associated with this phenomenon [1] .
