Pentax K200D - an amateur digital single-lens reflex camera of the Japanese company Pentax (later - Hoya Corporation under the brand name "Pentax"), equipped with a 10-megapixel CCD-matrix Sony . Available in black or silver dust and water tight housing. The camera uses the Dust removal matrix mechanical dust removal system (rapid matrix movement using electromagnets), a fluoride-based SP coating on the low-pass filter, and Dust Alert dust particles. As in previous models, image stabilization is carried out by shifting the matrix, which makes it compatible with any (including threaded) lenses. It was announced on January 24, 2008 . Together with the Pentax K20D , this is the last DSLR camera announced by Pentax before the takeover of its Hoya Corporation in March. In December of the same year, a number of sources [2] [3] [4] reported the removal of the model from production, but this information was erroneous [5] . It is known only about the cessation of the supply of cameras to Japan [6] . As of February 2011, on the official pentax.ru website, the camera is listed among those discontinued [7] .

The main differences from the previous model
It differs from the K100D Super in the following parameters:
- Dust and water tight housing (however, as part of the whale, lenses are supplied in the usual version).
- LCD increased from 2.5 "to 2.7". Its resolution has been increased from 210,000 pixels to 230,000.
- Image resolution increased from 6 to 10 megapixels.
- The ISO range is 100–1600 (the previous model has 200–3200).
- An algorithm for expanding the dynamic range , while the minimum possible sensitivity is increased to 200.
- Support for DNG Raw format .
- The sensor orientation sensor appeared.
- The maximum series of pictures in RAW format can reach 5 pieces. In the previous model, only 3.
- Ability to simultaneously record RAW + JPEG .
- Sv mode added.
- The camera body is 3-4 mm larger in all dimensions.
- Weight over 70 g.
- Added “RAW” button to control file recording format.
- Added “Green key” button for quick transfer of the camera to automatic mode.
- The Dust Alert system. It is a program that detects dust and villi on the matrix and shows their position on the monitor. Helps to remove contaminants without resorting to cleaning the entire surface of the matrix.
- Support for the D-BG3 battery grip with the same type and number of batteries as the camera.
- The updated form of the battery compartment no longer allows the use of CR-V3 batteries and RCR-V3 batteries [8] .
