Title
The title of the collection - Different Seasons - contains a pun that disappears during translation. King published this book, including in order to get rid of the stigma of the “horror writer”: all four stories contain practically no elements of horror or mysticism that King was famous for until then. Therefore, the word different is chosen with a special idea. It is understood that the book will be unlike the previous King’s books, along with the fact that there are four novels in the collection, as in a year - four seasons. When the book came out (in 1982), King remarked: “I worked on it harder than on everything I’ve ever done.” [2] [3] Once Kingu was written by a woman in a Minnesota penitentiary. She confessed that she was a kleptomaniac and stole all of the writer's books. After she borrowed the Four Seasons collection from the library, she found the strength to return the book. “What do you think, does this mean that you wrote it better?”. Initially, King wanted to write to her whether she had stolen the “Misery”, but he decided not to respond to anything like this [4] .
