Maloja ( German: Maloja ) - a mountain village in Switzerland , in the canton of Graubünden , in the Upper Engadine region , at an altitude of 1,811 m above sea level at the Malojapass pass ( German Malojapass ), on the shore of Lake Silsersee ( German Silsersee ); 17 km from St. Moritz . Protected by mountains, open only from the south. The average temperature in winter is 3.5 Celsius. The air is dry and clean, the indications for referring patients are the same as for the high-altitude resorts.

Administratively, until January 1, 2010, Maloya was part of the commune of Stampa ( Italian: Stampa ) of the Maloya district of the canton of Graubünden, and from January 1, 2010, it was part of the new commune of Bregaglia ( de: Bregaglia ) [1] .
Access to the resort: by rail to the station " St. Moritz ", then by bus (17 km). For winter holidays are available: ski lift, 2 children's ski lifts. Ski school, snowboard school, children's ski school. Cross-country ski runs with a total length of 150 km. Natural ice rink, curling .
Artist Giovanni Segantini is buried in the cemetery of the village of Maloya.
