Content

Tributaries (km from the mouth)

The largest tributaries are Shora , Tyumsha [6] .

  • 14 km: Tyums river
  • 34 km: a river without a name, at s. Urine
  • 53 km: Shore River
  • 67 km: Arka River
  • 93 km: Orishut River [3] .

Etymology

Presumably, the name came from the word - yӱshtӧ - icy, cold, or from the verb: yӱshtilash - bathe, drench [7] .

Logging

Previously used for wood alloy , in combination with narrow-gauge railways [8] . Over time, the Yushutskaya broad gauge railway was laid into the river basin, and the rafting of the forest ceased [9] . At present, narrow-gauge and wide-gauge timber railways have been dismantled, and the forest is transported by road [10] .

Tourism

The Yushuta basin attracts pedestrians, cyclists and water-tourists with its proximity to the railway, low population, and the presence of interesting and beautiful places, such as Lake Serebryany .

Water Tourism

Rafting along Yushut is possible from the bridge on the Morki-Rong highway. The upper course of Yushut is impassable. The current is relatively fast for lowland rivers, “comb” trees hang over the water [7] . There is evidence of successful ice skating trips around Yushut [11] .

May Day rafting

On May holidays, when the spring flood , as a rule, has not yet subsided, and the river is suitable for rafting on catamarans and kayaks , a large number of water tourists come to Yushut, mainly from Kazan and Cheboksary. Traditionally, the route starts from the Mochalischensky bridge and ends at the mouth of Yushut [4] . The rafting is not so much sporty as cultural and entertaining in nature, since the fast flow compared to other rivers in the region allows you to spend a minimum of effort, which ensures the popularity of this event. Some crews, in addition to water equipment, wear carnival costumes [12] .

In the area of the Mill Mill, in the meadow near the river, the song festival Mill is held , which is the cultural dominant of the May rafting [13] .

The popularity of the May Day rafting precisely on Yushut is due to the rapid flow of the river, which allows even beginners to get a long distance with minimal physical work, the proximity of the railway both to the point of rafting ( Suslonger station) and the destination ( Krasnogorsky , Ilet station) [5] . This was especially important in the 1970s, when the tradition of May Day rafting arose among students. Currently, a large number of tourists get to the start of the rafting and by car.

Film Festival

Traditionally, according to the results of the tourist season, the Yushut Festival is held annually in January-February - a festival of amateur videos about tourism, travel and adventure [14] .

Role Movement

A special category is fans of field role-playing games , for which the Shelanger role-playing ground was built on the banks of Yushut below Mochalish [15] [16] . Participants from all over Russia come to participate in such games [17] .

Water registry data

According to the state water register of Russia, it belongs to the Upper Volga basin district , the Volga river water sector from the Cheboksary hydroelectric complex to the city of Kazan , without the Sviyaga and Civil rivers, the river Volga river basin from the Oka inlet to the Kuibyshev reservoir (without the Sura basin).
