Kyshtovka is a village , the administrative center of the Kyshtovsky district of the Novosibirsk region . It is also the center of the Kyshtovsky rural settlement .

Geography
Kyshtovka is located on the Tara River, 600 kilometers northwest of Novosibirsk , 110 kilometers north of Vengerovo , 165 kilometers north of the Chany Trans-Siberian Railway station and the M-51 Baikal federal highway. Nearby are Vasyugan marshes [1] .
There are more than thirty streets in Kyshtovka, the total length of which is more than 150 kilometers [2] .
History
The name "Kyshtovka" comes from the word Kyshtau ( Turk. ) - winter hut [3] .
Kyshtovka was founded by immigrants from the European part of Russia [4] [5] . Kyshtovka was first mentioned in 1730 in a manuscript describing the lands of the Irtysh Tatars . In 1870, Kyshtovka became the center of the Kyshtovsky volost of the Kainsky district of the Tomsk province , and in 1922 - the center of the Kyshtovsky district of the Tomsk province [6] .
Population and Religion
In 2010, according to the All-Russian Population Census , 5282 people lived in Kyshtovka, 2480 of them were men (47%), 2802 women (53%) [7] .

Kyshtovka is a multinational village in which representatives of different faiths live [1] . The village has two mosques and an Orthodox church [8] .
Transport
In 2006, the paved road “Kyshtovka-Vengerovo-Chany” was opened with a length of 165 kilometers, which made it possible to establish permanent communication with the railway station in Chany and the regional center. With the opening of the road, the travel time to Novosibirsk was reduced to 9-10 hours, and before it opened, a trip from Kyshtovka to Chany could take a whole week [9] .
There is an airport in Kyshtovka, from which regular flights to the airport of the Northern city of Novosibirsk were previously operated. Currently (as of 2008 ) flights have been canceled due to their unprofitability . Since 2008, the airport has been transferred to the ownership of OAO Tomskneft . Since 2008, helicopter communication with the facilities of this company has been established. Passenger flights are not operated.

Architecture and Attractions
- The local history museum, located in the center of the village in the house of the merchant Shcheglov, built in 1895 . The house is one-story, built of red brick. The eastern facade is crowned with a pediment; brick platbands have remained above the arched window openings. Of the elements of the ornament, openwork water receivers on the drainpipes, forged elements on the shutters are noteworthy. The museum contains 405 storage units: ancient household items of villagers, Belarusian national tools and clothing, archaeological and paleontological exhibits, old maps and photographs.
