History
The school was opened in 1970 on the initiative and direct participation of the rector of the Novosibirsk Conservatory , Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation , Professor L. N. Shevchuk . The conservatory, which had worked for 14 years by this time, was faced with the acute problem of continuity of education from the initial stage to admission to a musical university and raising the level of professional skill of future students . The creation of the only secondary specialized music school in Siberia and the Far East entrusted it with tasks of a regional scale : identifying and educating talented children from hard-to-reach areas, methodical and creative exchange with primary and secondary educational institutions, conducting concerts , pedagogical readings on the ground and at school, seminars , participation in the jury of competitions. This is not a complete list of tasks that determine the functioning of the secondary school as an educational institution of regional significance.
The school is located in a three-story building built in 1942 on Stantsionnaya Street, in the Leninsky district of Novosibirsk , far from the center. The room was clearly not enough in area for the study cycle, designed for 150 people, so up to 60% of classes took place in the classes of the conservatory . The school had the opportunity to hold concerts in the halls of the Oil and Gas Complex, students used the university library and the music library.
The leading specialists in musical art and pedagogy in Novosibirsk at the beginning of the 1970s stood at the origins of the activity of the secondary school of music , mostly professors and teachers. It was they who carried out all the organizational work preceding the start of classes.
In 2003, by an order of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the educational institution received the status of a federal state educational institution, in 2016 the school became a federal state budgetary professional educational institution [1] .

Achievements
The 1980s were rich in serious creative achievements of students and teachers. This is primarily due to the activities of the string compartment. The 1980 open competition brought the title of laureate to six students. Among them are Anton Barakhovsky, a student of the preparatory department (class of Professor M. Liberman ), second-grader Vadim Repin (class of Professor Z. Bron . At the 1982 competition , the violinist G. Kholdoyanidi was awarded the first prize (class of professor G. G. Feldgun) and double bass player K. Smirnov (class of professor V. G. Boldin), violinist K. Lubnin (class of professor M. Lieberman) received the third prize. In October 1982, the first major victory was won by the students of Z. Bron on an international scale. G. Wieniawski and K. Lipi skogo in Lublin ( Poland ), the first prize, a gold medal and a special prize of the Ministry of culture of Poland "Best Violinist Competition" was awarded a fifth-grader Vadim Repin . Eighth V. Sklyarevskaya IV received the award and Bronze medal.
The Russian music community pays attention to the success of young Novosibirsk violinists. V. Repin, V Sklyarevsky, A. Barakhovsky in 1981 perform in Moscow at the concert concerts of the Oil and Gas Company, in 1982 - at the Central House of Artists. In 1982 there was a solo concert of V. Repin in the Concert Hall. Tchaikovsky, and in 1983 he performed with great success at the evening of T. Khrennikov with the performance of his violin concerto. These concerts laid the foundation for the creative journey of one of the outstanding violinists of our time and announced the existence of the Novosibirsk violin school.
Students of Professor Z. Bron and M. Lieberman win victories in subsequent contests of the 1980s A. Barakhovsky becomes a diploma winner of the International Concertino-Prague Competition in 1985 and laureate of the International Competition in Beijing in 1986 , students of Z. Bron N. Prishchepenko and N. Madoev received II and III prizes at the International Competition named after G. Wieniawski and K. Lipinsky in 1983. The real triumph of the Novosibirsk violin school was the victory of Vadim Repin at the International Competition in Switzerland in 1988 and at the competition to them. Queen Elizabeth in Brussels in 1989.
Since 1989, the NHC begins to conduct all-union, all-Russian and international competitions of young violinists. Schoolchildren perform with great success. The names of the winners - M. Vengerov , N. Prishchepenko , N. Madoev , A. Barakhovsky, I. Konovalov, A. Trostyansky, A. Raider - belong to the first generation of outstanding pets of the Novosibirsk violin school, make up its gold fund. In the future, these are outstanding world-famous musicians .
The brilliant flowering of violin performance provided a powerful incentive for musicians of other specialties. To a large extent, this was facilitated by the regular competitions of young performers in various cities of the Siberian and Ural regions. Participation in these contests becomes an integral part of the professional activity of young musicians of the secondary school music school, and victory in them is an indicator of successful professional development and the first stage of their performing career. In the 1980s, pianists K. Guryanov, S. Samoilov, E. Zherebtsova, A. Trifonov, A. Shirokikh, drummer A. Ashikov, and accordion player E. Lozben became the winners of regional competitions. Students of the theoretical department M. Pashkova, A. Fole successfully performed at the first zonal Olympiad in Novosibirsk in 1988, G. Nikulin and N. Dvurechenskaya in 1992 .
Among the most significant victories of the late 1980s, one should mention the diploma of the pianist M. Mitina at the International Piano Competition in Ettlingen ( Germany ). A. Barakhovsky for the first time in the history of the Novosibirsk violin school became a laureate of the IX International Competition named after P.I. Tchaikovsky in Moscow. In the 1990s, II prize at the International Competition. G. Venyavsky and K. Lipinsky received I. Konovalov, I prize - N. Prishchepchenko and II - A. Trostyansky at the competition to them. Pianists of the school in the 1990s regularly participate in annual international competitions in Italian cities. The winners were A. Podkorytov, Y. Brovkin, P. Kondratkov, S. Ten, M. Mitin, N. Taldykin, E. Melnikov, T. Abramov, I. Rashkovsky, Yu. Shadrin, V. Vlasova, A. Zhbanova, A. Maltsev, E. Nesterenko. The students of the school achieve great success in the national competitions of young violinists, pianists, cellists, accordionists, and wind instruments, which are often more difficult than foreign ones due to the complexity of the programs and the performing level of the participants. This is the All-Union Competition named after S. P. Diaghilev in Moscow, “Youth Art Assemblies”, “Virtuosos of the 21st Century”, “New Names” , contests named after E. A. Mravinsky in St. Petersburg , im. Demidov in Yekaterinburg , "Magic Bow" in Perm , international competitions for young violinists and international festivals of violin music in Novosibirsk, international competitions to them. V.V. Andreeva and "Baltic Harmonica" in St. Petersburg, im. Beloborodov in Tula , them. V. Krainev in Kharkov , international harpist contests in Moscow, competitions of chamber ensembles “Traditions and Modernity” named after Mazur M.P. et al.
Of particular note is the participation of NSMH students in competitions for adult musicians, where they have to withstand competition with experienced performers. Nevertheless, a high level of performance and strong professional training also give brilliant results. E. Yanovitskaya became in 1993 the laureate of the III prize of the IX All-Russian Violin Competition in Voronezh . S Makarov received the title of laureate of the II prize of the International trumpeter competition in Moscow in 1995 . In 1997, the II Prize of the X All-Russian Violin Competition in Saratov and the I Prize of the International Competition named after D. Shostakovich “Classic Nova” in Hanover ( Germany ) was awarded to D. T. Chernichka became a laureate of the International Piano Competitions in Tbilisi in 2001 and Japan in 2002 . D. Kozlov received in 1999 the II Prize of the 49th International Bayan Players Competition “World Trophy” in Urans ( Spain ) and in 2001. III prize of the International competition of accordion players in Klingenthal (Germany), one of the most serious competitions in this specialty. At one time, the title of laureate of this competition was received by R. Zhbanov , a graduate of the secondary school of lyceum, now a concert accordion player and teacher at the International Bayan Center in Larot ( France ).
Since 1990, the school has trained about 200 prize-winners of all-union, all-Russian and international competitions.
New Stage
At the turn of the 1980-1990s. a new stage begins in the history of the school. In connection with the crisis in the country, centralized funding for creative activities was stopped: organization of concert work, tours , student trips to competitions. There were no funds for the purchase of notes , musical instruments , equipment. The secondary school of education faced the need to look for sources of extrabudgetary funding.
A new stage in the development of the school was marked by a change in leadership, the arrival of the director A.T. Marchenko. In 1975 , he graduated from the orchestra faculty of the NGK as a violinist, had the experience of a teacher and an orchestra musician, as well as a solid seniority in leadership work in the party and administrative structures of Novosibirsk. The new director had to solve a complex of complex interconnected tasks of paramount importance: to preserve the existing and highly potential collective of teachers and students, to develop the creative achievements accumulated by the school, and, most importantly, to strengthen the material base.
By the decision of the administration of the Novosibirsk Region, the building was transferred to building No. 20 on Komsomolsky Prospekt. By the beginning of 1997 , the first complex of the educational building was put into operation after reconstruction and overhaul. By 2003 , the school acquired an almost new building. At the end of 2002 , the construction of a boarding school on the land adjacent to the educational building began.
The non-profit “Young Talents of Siberia” non-profit Foundation, created on the initiative and direct participation of A. T. Marchenko in 1990 , provided and continues to provide substantial financial and organizational assistance to the school. The founders included the Association of Siberian and Far Eastern Cities , the Regional Commercial Center “Siberian Fair” , Sibirskaya Gazeta, Siberian Writing Organization, Novosibirsk Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting, educational institutions of culture and art, Department of Culture of Novosibirsk Administration ka and the region. The main source of fund replenishment from 1990 to 1996. steel funds of the Siberian Trade Bank .
Under the auspices and with the participation of the Fund, numerous open Siberian competitions of young performers, composers and ballet dancers, and international festivals took place. Beyond the financial support of the foundation, such actions as concerts of young Novosibirsk musicians in Russian cities and abroad, their participation in domestic and foreign competitions, the tour of the SSMSh chamber orchestra and the Novosibirsk Youth Symphony Orchestra , summer music camps and much more could not have taken place.
1990s significant changes in the status of the school. In 1993, it became a lyceum , called the Secondary Special Music School-Lyceum at the Novosibirsk State Conservatory (Academy) named after M.I. Glinka , at the end of 2003 it received the status of an independent secondary special educational institution called the Federal State Educational Institution of Secondary Professional Education "Novosibirsk Special Music School (College)", and since 2016 - the Federal State Budgetary Professional Educational Institution "Novosibirsk Special te a music school. " The modern concept is reflected in the new version of the Charter, approved by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and registered in Novosibirsk.
The expansion of the training area after moving to the building on Komsomolsky Prospekt, the growing popularity of the school created objective prerequisites for increasing the number of students to 170-180 people, while the budget still financed the education of only 150. The way to solve this problem was prompted by time, which opened up opportunities to seek and find new forms of managing and raising funds. Since the late 1980s the school begins to introduce paid forms of education. Having overcome numerous difficulties of an economic and organizational nature, the preparatory department, which was opened in 1988, expanded its activities more widely. Since 1992, it has provided up to 30% of the annual recruitment. Currently, the preparatory department is an independent structure with its own programs, curricula, a system of educational and extracurricular activities. Along with the main profile of the school, in 1999 it opened classes of general aesthetic development , where, in addition to music, classes are held in painting , applied art, a foreign language , rhythm and dance . In the fall of 2001, the preparatory department received a license to conduct educational activities.
In 1993, foreign students appeared at the school: violinists, cellists , and later pianists, wind instruments from their countries in South Korea , Japan , China , Mongolia , and Colombia . Currently, about 30 foreign students study at the school. Despite the differences in educational systems, thanks to the professionalism of the school teachers, flexible individual approach and the conditions created in the school, they quickly make up for the gap in vocational training they have at admission and achieve significant results. The best of them are actively involved in concert activities. Four young musicians from the Republic of Korea became laureates and diploma winners of international, all-Russian and regional competitions. Nine foreign students graduated from high school and continue their education at the conservatories of Moscow , St. Petersburg , Novosibirsk and abroad.
Educational work
1990s brought a lot of new to the educational and methodical work of the school. Through the efforts of teachers of musical-theoretical, humanitarian disciplines and primary school teachers, a model of the educational process was developed. On its basis, experimental curricula were developed, recommended by the Ministry of Culture for use in similar educational institutions of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, on the basis of this model, the author’s programs of teachers of the secondary school of music were developed in musical literature, world artistic culture , folk art, history , literature and other disciplines. The author’s developments by I. V. Pushenko, integrating musical literature and world art culture into a single humanitarian discipline using developmental teaching methods, were presented at the General Humanitarian Education contest in 1992 and received a grant from the Russian-American Cultural Initiative Foundation. The author made a presentation in Moscow. The main provisions of the work are laid down in the database of the integration of educational systems "ARIOS". The author’s programs were created by I.I. Aleksandrov (musical literature and world artistic culture), L.K. Antipova (musical literature, world artistic culture , folk music), L.V. Goncharova (listening to music, rhythm, dance), etc. .
The increased level of professional skill of teachers and students of secondary school makes it possible for them to participate in methodological events of the All-Union scale. Teachers of all specialties conduct extensive methodological activities in Novosibirsk and the cities of the region.
An important indicator of the quality of work of the teaching staff of the school is the competitive success of students who achieve brilliant victories in domestic and international music competitions and affirm the international authority of the school. A new feature of the last decade is the massive nature of student appearances at regional and interregional competitions. Along with string players and pianists, young musicians of other specialties are increasingly participating in them. The total number of students of NSMSh, awarded the titles of laureates and diplomas of regional competitions from 1980 to June 2002 amounted to more than 300 people. Along with the performers, composers entered the competition.
The lists of laureates suggest interesting thoughts about the change of generations of young performers, about the dynamics of the development of various performing branches. One thing is certain: the brilliant victories of young musicians are the result of the activities of outstanding teachers, professors, associate professors and teachers of the conservatory and school, pianists M. S. Lebenzon, D. L. Shevchuk, S. P. Gindis, M. A. Shaviner, I. I. Berman; stringnikov Z. N. Bron , M. B. Liberman , A. V. Gvozdev , M. A. Kuzina , N. N. Pokrovskaya, M. I. Turich, O. V. Marchenko, E. V. Baskina, E Z. Nilova, Yu. N. Mazchenko ; populists E.P. Yankovskaya, A.V. Krupin, N.N. Samoilova, A.N. Romanova; wind and percussion teachers A. M. Taran, V. Ya. Yankovsky , A. I. Guryanov, N. P. Furenkova, A. A. Turygin, V. L. Surnachev and many others who worked and are working in the school.
The professional skill of the accompanists is also commendable. The titles of diplomats of regional, all-Union and international competitions, along with the laureates, have been repeatedly awarded to T. Turich, Y. Koifman, M. Belogorodtseva, N. Yakimenko, M. Vasiliev, E. Tikhomirova, E. Shmyreva, B. Kuznetsov, S. Bazhanova , O. Selivanova, T. Bokan, M. Tomchuk, I. Katyanova and others.

There is a dining room, a medical center, a gym, a relaxation room, 3 kitchens for individual cooking, a laundry, a luggage room for students' personal belongings.
In May 2012, the Concert Hall of the NSMSh (college) was opened. The capacity of the concert hall is 300 seats, the hall is equipped according to modern technical requirements and has acoustic characteristics ideal for concerts of chamber, choral and orchestra music.
At NSMSh (college), recognized experts in the field of music education teach. The school provides students with an exceptional opportunity within the framework of one educational institution to receive both professional music and general education with in-depth study of the subjects of the humanitarian cycle. Pupils of the NSMSh (college) conduct active concert activities, successfully perform at various performing contests.
Concert activity
The students' concert activity is an integral and most important part of their creative life. The innate and professionally cultivated artistry of musically gifted children finds a natural form of self-expression in public speaking. The need to play with them is huge, so the most striking students master the concert stage from elementary grades, and “Concert practice” is introduced into the curriculum as a compulsory discipline.
Until 1998, the school did not have its own concert hall and most of the concerts, from academic to reporting, held in the halls of the conservatory. With the introduction of self-supporting relationships, the school’s concert activity spread across the halls of various institutions - the Philharmonic, the Opera House, the Art Gallery, the Museum of Local Lore, the Palaces of Culture - Railway Workers, Progress. October Revolution, etc. In 2000, the school received at its disposal a beautiful own concert hall, called the "Emerald", and in 2012 in the territory adjacent to the school, as a separate building building, the Concert Hall of the NSMSh (college) was built.
The concert activity of the school has always been intense. It acquired a special scope in the 1990s. A new generation of talented performers is growing up: pianists I. Rashkovsky, T. Chernichka, P. Kondratkova, S. Tsygankova, oboes M. Zhuravlev, A. Lesovichenko, violinist M. Lazarev, D. Ziatdinova, accordionists I. Talanin, S. Shmelkov, D. Kozlov, balalaika L. Butakov, Domrists T. Goryunov and N. Vorobyov, etc. The number of concerts has increased. Many traditional forms remain - patronage concerts in kindergartens, libraries, music and secondary schools. Boarding school No. 39 for visually impaired children becomes a permanent platform. School performers participate in charity concerts and marathons for disabled orphans, war and labor veterans . young musicians play for participants in meetings of the Siberian Agreement regional association, regional, regional and city forums of various directions, methodological seminars and conferences held in Novosibirsk. Virtually not a single large official concert is held without a special music school. In addition to charity , students of the school perform in subscription concerts of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic . In the 1989/90 season By the efforts of students from the wind department alone, 35 concerts of the Philharmonic Lecture Hall were given for preschool children and schoolchildren. Performers of various specialties regularly participated in the music festivals of the Philharmonic "When not to go to school."
An independent direction of the school’s concert activity since the 1990s. performances of students with the symphony and chamber orchestras of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic become the symphony orchestra of the Opera House. Students of the Folk Instruments Department constantly perform with the Russian Folk Instruments Orchestra of the Novosibirsk State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company , and brass and percussionists with the Philharmonic Concert Wind Orchestra. With the advent of school and city youth orchestral groups, “ accompaniment ” to school soloists has become a mandatory part of their programs.
