I Dated a Robot

The crew of the Interplanetary Express decides to make Fry a pleasure - to introduce him to the celebrity of his time. Therefore, Leela leads Fry to the Network at nappster.com , from where he downloads Lucy Liu and falls in love with Lubot .

The crew begins to regret what they did, seeing Fry’s deep love for fake Lucy, they even show him a documentary that meeting people with robots leads to trouble, but this does not make any impression on Fry. Then Leela, Bender and Zoidberg decide to close nappster.com (which, as it turned out, is called kid nappster.com (from the English to kidnap - kidnap)) and they find a secret room in the company’s office where many of them are held hostage in the heads-in-banks celebrities that the owner scans to create twin robots for download by Web users. Trinity saves Lucy Liu’s head from captivity (and it’s clear that she is not indifferent to Bender), but the owner of the site sends many Lubots in pursuit of them .

The fugitives take refuge in a movie theater where they discover Fry with the "first Lubot ." The crowd of the rest of the Lubots bursts into the building and begins an attack on friends who have taken refuge in a camera room. First Lubot sacrifices himself to save Fry and destroy his copies. Bender and the real Lucy admit to each other in mutual feelings, to Fry’s rage.

• In this episode, Fry’s “fan love” for Lucy Liu is highly doubtful. Lucy Lew only became famous for the film Charlie's Angels in 2000, and Fry got into the future from 1999 (or 00:00 01.01.2000). This author’s omission or another mystery, we can only guess.
• In the episode, Lucy Liu parodies herself as she was in the movie Charlie's Angels . Also in the cinema was the film "Charlie's Angels 3".
• The plot of the episode echoes the movie “ City framers: The Legend of Curly's Gold ” and the movie “ Terminator ”, where the “good” robot, defeating the “evil”, destroys itself.
