Arsian ridge [1] (Arsian ridge, Georgian არსიანის ქედი ; tour. Yalnızçam Dağları ) - a mountain range in the northwestern frame of the Armenian Highlands ( system of the Lesser Caucasus ), located in southern Georgia and eastern Turkey . The ridge forms a watershed between the Chorokh and Kura rivers [2] . The northern part of the ridge, entering Georgia, borders the upper reaches of the Adzharistskali river from the east and adjoins the western tip of the Lesser Caucasus. The southwestern end of the ridge lies at the confluence of the Oltu and Chorukh rivers .

The total length of the ridge is about 150 km. Maximum height - 3165 m ( Mount Arsiyan ). The ridge is composed of shales and sandstones , which alternate with volcanic strata. Traps moisture brought from the sea. The slopes of the ridge are covered below by beech-chestnut, above beech and fir-spruce forests , then by alpine meadows .
