Story
The film is a film adaptation of the tragedy of Jean Racine .
Atalia, the widow of the king of Judea , destroyed all the legitimate heirs of the late husband and reigns herself, but one of the princes is alive and under the protection of the supreme Cohen . In a dream, Atalia sees a young heir to be king. She orders to storm the Temple, but when the priest pulls back the curtain and everyone sees the prince sitting on the throne, she flees, deciding that the dream has already come true.
Artistic features
Rezhan quite successfully uses a close-up. Thus, the episode in which Atalia is being pursued by dreams (second part) is taken off the general plan, but the actress approaches the apparatus with moments, allowing the audience to see the face distorted by fear and thus reproduces the horror that gripped her heroine.
