Left without work, Leela offers everyone to get a new job using her old career chips. Having not understood the new millennium, Michelle asks Fry to go with her into the future for another thousand years ahead to start all over again. Realizing that love for Michelle is more important than his arranged life, Fry leaves everything and, together with his beloved, freezes himself in a cryochamber.
Waking up in the desert, Michelle and Fry find themselves in a dilapidated world, where they are surrounded only by the smoking ruins of buildings. They believe that this is the year 4000. Over time, Fry begins to like living under the leadership of Butch, but this does not suit Michelle, who wants to see a more ambitious man in her lover. Fry agrees to make a revolution for his beloved. Having informed the leader of their intentions, Fry and Butch decide to conduct a deadly race on skateboards. As a result of this race, Fry wins the race, but at the sight of a pistol gives way to Butch ... whom his mother takes to school in a minute.
Lovers who do not understand what is happening quarrel, and Fry leaves Michelle. Traveling alone, he reaches the city, where he soon meets ... Leela, Bender and the professor. They explain that Fry was not in the fifth millennium, but in 3001, in Los Angeles . At the moment when Fry asks the team about the world around him, a limo flies up to them, in which Michel sits with Paulie Shore . She tells Fry that they will not succeed, and throws him.
