This is the first of several anthology episodes in the series. Anthologies of interest are similar to the Treehouse of Horror series in the Simpsons series.
Story
During a demonstration to the Interplanetary Express team of his new invention (a finger-finger), the professor accidentally turns on his old invention - the “What if ...?” Machine. This machine can show what could happen in any case. Everyone was very interested in this device.
500ft Horror
Bender was the first to try it, who asked:
Bender: What would happen if I were 500 feet tall?
The professor’s invention shows a plot in which several dozen bending robots build a huge Bender. Giant Bender takes off and heads to New York, where he meets a lone Fry , who has no one to talk to in the future. Together they play hide and seek and have fun, with each time Bender kills several hundred people through negligence. Earthlings withdraw troops to destroy the robot, but their weapons are powerless and only cause fury in Bender. The entire office of the Interplanetary Express watches as the robot begins to destroy the entire city, and the professor suggests creating a new monster to defeat the old one. With the help of his new invention, the Magnifier Beam, the professor forces Dr. Zoidberg to grow to the size of Bender. Huge Bender and Zoidberg start a fight on the streets of New York, smashing all the buildings in the neighborhood. Bender throws Zoidberg into the stadium with boiling water, but he cuts Bender's legs with his claws, and the robot falls on the Empire State Building , which pierces him through and through.
At this, the professor's car stops.
Impulsive Leela
The next question was posed by Leela.
Leela: What would happen if I were more impulsive? Just a little ... very little ... a little ...
Leela, in a fit of her impulsiveness, buys new shoes, exactly repeating her previous ones, but with a green stripe on their side. At this time, the Professor bequeathed to her all his inheritance as the most calm, predictable and judicious in the team. Upon learning that after the death of the professor she will become rich, Impulsive Leela kills the old man, pushing him into the pit to the anteaters - cannibals . Hermes , sorting through the documents of the deceased, finds out that it was Leela who killed the professor. Meanwhile, Zoidberg begins an investigation into the mysterious murder, since, according to him, he is a certified specialist in "murderology" and "murder." While Zoidberg takes evidence from anteaters, Leela kills Hermes. Bender incriminates her and tries to blackmail her , but Leela also gets rid of Bender with a microwave . Later, feeling Amy's slight envy, Leela again can not cope with her impulsiveness. In the evening, Zoidberg in the costume of Sherlock Holmes gathers everyone to tell the survivors Fry, Leela, Cubert Farnsworth , Scruffy and Nibbler who is the real killer. During his story, Leela deals with Cubert, then with Scruffy, and then with Critter, having strung them on one sword . Soon, the bored Fry leaves the room, after which Leela deals with Zoidberg. The next morning, Fry realizes that Leela is a murderer, and she, deciding to do away with Frey, so that he would not “blurt out” something. After Leela seduces Fry.
At this, the professor's car stops.
Thawed for life
The following question was formulated by Professor Fry:
Professor: What would happen if Fry weren’t in the future?
Professor’s car shows Fry on the eve of 2000 with pizza for ICWiener. After Fry does not fall into the cryogenic chamber, but only hits his head on it, he remains in the 20th century . At this moment, through a breakthrough in space-time, Fry sees the Professor, Leela, Bender and Zoidberg. Later, while working at the Panucci pizzeria, Fry meets the famous scientist Stephen Hawking and tells him about the “ black hole with monsters”. After this story, Fry is in the hands of a team of “Combat Vice Presidential Rangers,” whose task is to prevent time gaps. The team led by Al Gore includes Nichelle Nichols ( Uhura from Star Trek ), Stephen Hawking , Gary Gygeks (one of the creators of the board game Dungeons & Dragons ) and the computer Deep Blue . Fry tells that he hit his head on a cryogenic chamber, and Gore decides that a hole in time appeared due to the fact that Fry was supposed to die from this. But when the team begins to break through Fry’s head, a hole in outer space reappears. Commander Uhura suggests placing Fry in a cryogenic chamber until the Universe disappears, but Fry breaks the glass of the cryogenic chamber and the Universe disappears.
At the end of the series, it turns out that the above demonstration of the “What if ...?” Machine was not really there: The professor just watched it himself after he asked the question:
Professor: What would happen if I invented a pointing finger?

Inventions of the Future
The “what if” machine is a TV-like apparatus showing a scenario in certain circumstances, but for a few minutes. The superior the question asked, the longer the plot.
An extension cord is a device for remote control of various objects, which is a long stick worn on a finger (Actually, it was never invented by the Professor in this episode. In reality, the extension cord is invented only in the “ The Birdbot of Ice-Catraz ” series).
A magnifier beam is an apparatus that enlarges any living creature. It is shown only in the Bender episode, where it was tested on Dr. Zoidberg.
