Biography

Father - Vasily Vasilyevich Maslyakov (1904-1996), a native of the Novgorod region , a military pilot, navigator, participant in the Great Patriotic War , after the war he served in the General Staff of the Air Force .

Mother - Zinaida Alekseevna Maslyakova (1911-1999), a housewife [1] .

The couple lived in Leningrad , with the outbreak of war, the father goes to the front, and his mother is evacuated to Chelyabinsk in the fall [3] [4] . In November 1941, her son was born on the road to Chelyabinsk in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg) [5] . A few months later they moved to relatives in Chelyabinsk, where he spent his early childhood in the war years [6] . After the war, the family with their father live in Baku , then in Kutaisi after in Moscow, where he studied at school number 643 [4] .

Alexander Maslyakov graduated from the Moscow Institute of Transport Engineers in 1964; during his training, he practiced at the Lublin Foundry and Mechanical Plant. After graduation, he worked at the Giprosakhar Design Institute, in 1968 he graduated from the Higher Courses of Television Workers [1] [4] .

In 1964, while still a fourth-year student at MIIT, he began working on television [1] . He explains his arrival on television as follows [1] :

Once Pasha Kantor, the captain of the team, flew into me in one of the audiences and said: “Listen, let’s be one of five!” And he explained that the youth editorial staff of the Central Television were going to make a funny show. And the leaders should be five students of the institute that won the last game of KVN. That is ours. “You will be one of the five,” Pasha repeated, and I humbly agreed.

He was the host of the programs [1] : “ Club of the cheerful and resourceful ” (at the beginning - co-host), “ Hello, we are looking for talents ”, “ Well, girls! "" Come on guys! ”,“ Addresses of the Young ”,“ Sprint for Everyone ”,“ Virage ”,“ Funny Guys ”,“ 12th Floor ”; led reports from the World Festivals of Youth and Students in Sofia , Berlin , Havana , Moscow , Pyongyang ; For several years he was a permanent host of international song festivals in Sochi , he also hosted the programs " Song of the Year " (1976-1979, 1981), " Alexander Show " and many others.

As a leading KVN, along with Svetlana Zhiltsova appeared in the film “The Miraculous Adventures of Tarapunka and Plugs ” (episode 1970 ).

For currency fraud, he was forced to leave television, in one of the central newspapers a feuilleton appeared about this [7] .

The book “ The Beatles of Perestroika ” states that Alexander Vasilievich was once the host of the program “ Vzglyad ” [8] , he broadcasted this program on April 1, 1988.

Maslyakov is the permanent host, director and director of the popular KVN program, president of the International KVN Union and the television and creative association AMiK , which produces the program. Despite the fact that Maslyakov plays the leading role in KVN Major League games, he was also a jury member twice: in the 1994 season finals and the 1996 Summer Champions Cup , both games were held as part of KVN cruises [1] .

He was the chairman of the jury of the TV show " Minute of Glory ."

In 2014, he became a member of the jury of the television show "Sense of Humor" along with Julius Guzman .

In August 2016, it became known that the creative association AMiK submitted documents to the Federal Service for Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation for the registration of the trademark Alexander Maslyakov [9] .

On July 21, 2017 the Moscow government dismissed Maslyakov from the post of director of IMC Planet KVN. This happened after an investigation by Transparency International , in which it turned out that he, on behalf of the Planet KVN Center, had transferred the Havana Cinema in Maryina Grove in Moscow to his creative association AMiK. Initially, the Moscow prosecutor's office did not reveal a violation. However, Transparency International challenged this decision in the Attorney General's Office . On December 1, 2017, the press service of KVN denied the dismissal, saying that Maslyakov left of his own free will [10] [11] .

Ratings and criticism

The philosopher, culturologist and sociologist P. S. Gurevich believes that [33] :

Alexander Maslyakov has long gained popularity. He led a variety of programs - " KVN ", " Funny guys ", " Well, girls! ". The frame keeps free, resourceful, sometimes striking a witty remark. Takes a beat. At the source, it was as if embodying a social portrait of a young Soviet man. It was this way - resourceful, easy, contact - he seemed to viewers.
But time passed. The criteria were changing. There were new requests. The appearance of the leader remained unchanged. Maslyakov did not try to find new facets of the image. Skill grew, enriched professionalism. But in general, today on the screen, Alexander is perceived as a Komsomol functionary slightly out of age ... No, you can’t always use the once found image. The image needs to be changed or filled with new content.

The editor of Forbes magazine, Alexander Zhokhov, notes that [34] :

Alexander Maslyakov successfully operates the KVN brand, the creation of which was involved in the Soviet years. The system that he created - actually a pop star factory - is aimed at earning the highest possible income before its participants grow to the level of free swimming.

Journalist and TV presenter L. G. Parfyonov speaks of Maslyakov as follows [35] :

This person should be in the Guinness Book of Records . For almost 50 years he has been on a television screen. The club is fun and resourceful - a unique phenomenon in world television, like Alexander Maslyakov. To joke for half a century is a serious matter, not everyone can do it. Maslyakova - in strength. As soon as the KVS employees did not call him by the eyes - Barin, Keeper, AlVasMas. Loving, of course. For them, he is an indisputable authority, an absolute monarch. With the light hand of the monarch of KVN, the game turned into a real factory of stars. And today, many television celebrities can say: "We all left the KVN."

Family

  • Wife - Svetlana Anatolyevna Maslyakova (nee Semenova, born October 11, 1947 [36] [37] ) - director of KVN, came to television as an assistant director of KVN in 1966 [1] . On October 2, 1971, Alexander and Svetlana got married [38] .
  • Son - Alexander Alexandrovich Maslyakov (born 1980) - a graduate of MGIMO [1] , general director of TTO "AMiK", leading the KVN Premier League [1] .
  • Daughter-in-law - Angelina Viktorovna Maslyakova (Marmeladova) (born February 14, 1980) - journalist, publicist, director of the KVN House [39] [40] .
