Elsha is a river in the Smolensk and Tver regions of Russia . Left tributary of the Mezha River . The largest river of the Smolensk Lakeland National Park.

Geography and Hydrology
The river is 68 km long [1] , including 10 km across the Tver Region , its catchment area is 1,450 km² [1] . Source: Sapsho Lake, near the village of Przhevalskoye in the Demidov District, below this place flows through Petrakovsky Lake. The main direction of the current is from south to north. It falls into Mezhu in the Tver region.
Tributaries
The main tributaries: on the right - Vasilyevka , Sermyatka , Skryteyka , Debtor ; on the left is Ilzhitsa . In its length, the river runs many lakes, banks overgrown with forests and swamps.
