Mikhail Anatolievich Taratuta (born June 2, 1948 , Moscow ) is a Soviet and Russian journalist, analyst and chronicler of American life. Author and presenter of the popular program " America with Mikhail Taratuta ."

Biography
Mikhail Anatolyevich Taratuta was born on June 2, 1948 in Moscow . In 1972 he graduated from the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages. Maurice Toreza (now - Moscow State Linguistic University ) majoring in “translator-referent” (with knowledge of English and Swedish).
In 1970, while still a student, he was sent to Egypt , where he was a translator of a Soviet military adviser. In 1972 (after graduation) he was drafted into the army, becoming an officer-translator in Bangladesh .
Since 1974, Mikhail worked at the Foreign Broadcasting .
From 1988 to 1999, Mikhail Taratuta was in the United States , where he was first a correspondent for the Vremya program and then the author of the popular program America with Mikhail Taratuta . In total, he prepared about 1000 reports about the United States.
Since 1999, Mikhail Taratuta has been working in Russia, mainly producing documentaries and autobiographical books. In addition, for some time on NTV , and then on the RTR channel, M. Taratuta’s program “Russian Hills” [1] [2] was published. Since 2016, takes part in the socio-political talk show " 60 minutes " on the channel " Russia-1 ".
