Biography
As a child, I tried myself in various sports: gymnastics , basketball . At the age of seven he ended up in the hockey section. In Irkutsk there was neither a professional hockey team, nor a closed ice rink. The training was held on an open ice rink , where the students themselves cleaned the ice , they filled it themselves.

Sports career
Pupil of the Olympia team (Irkutsk). The first coach was Sergey Romanovich Ogorodnikov. Under his leadership, Arthur with the team got to the finals of regional competitions, where they were interested in representatives of professional teams.
In 1986, he left for CSKA , but it was not easy to break into the main team of one of the strongest teams in the country and at 16 he was rented for a year at Salavat Yulaev, where Oktyabryov received his first professional contract .
In 1992, speaking for the basic structure of CSKA Moscow won silver medals of the CIS Championship.
In 1992, he was selected by the NHL Draft “ Winnipeg Jets ” in the seventh round under the number 155. In 1994, he left for the USA, where he played for the Vancouver – Syracuse Farm Club for two years. For the main team did not have a single match, although it was part of it. After the injury, considering that there was no chance to break into the club’s main team, he left for Russia, where he signed a contract with Lada and immediately won the European Champions Cup with her.
He graduated from a professional career in 2005 .

Coach
After completing his career, Arthur Oktyabryov for eight years almost dropped out of the hockey clip. In his own words [1], "he was engaged in various business projects with varying degrees of success", combining commercial activities with playing for an amateur hockey club from Prague. The leaders of this club in the summer of 2012 created a youth team “ Patriot ”, which was included in the participants of the Youth Hockey League Championship . In January 2013, after the Patriot leadership broke up with the former coaching staff, Arthur Oktyabryov was appointed acting head coach [2] . Under his leadership, the team spent the remaining 26 games of the regular season, in which they won only four victories, and did not make it to the playoffs.
From July 2013 to January 2014, an assistant to the head coach of the KHL newcomer of the Admiral club [3] .
January 14, 2014 entered the headquarters of the Khanty-Mansiysk Ugra [4] .
