History
The Matsesta marina is one of several points in Sochi's intracity Sea Passenger Transport , which operated in Sochi in Soviet times. A network of local lines connected the marina with marinas in other areas of the city, including the Maritime Stations in Sochi and Adler, both by regular and pleasure flights.
The building of the sea station (port) and the pier in Matsesta was built in 1936 (earlier than the Sochi Sea Station ) in the neoclassical style, designed by architect Voropaev. Initially, ticket offices and a waiting room were located in the building. Later a yacht club, cafe and a disco. As of 2012 , a new pier is under construction.
January 4, 2015, the grand opening of the maritime station took place after reconstruction.
