Biography

  • He graduated from the Sverdlovsk Medical Institute in 1962 , graduate school of the same university in 1965 , doctor of medical sciences, professor;
  • Since 1965 he has been working at the Sverdlovsk Medical Institute; Scientific Director of the Gerontology Department of the Clinical Hospital for War Veterans in the city of Yekaterinburg;
  • main research area: blood regeneration mechanisms;
  • Rector (from 1984 to 2005), Head of the Department of Pathological Physiology (since 1974 ), Sverdlovsk Medical Institute , then the Ural State Medical Academy (since 1995);
  • editor of the journal “Bulletin of the Ural Medical Academy”;
  • corresponding member of RAMS (2004), academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (1992) and the Russian Ecological Academy ( 1995 );
  • Member of the Board of the Russian Society of Pathophysiologists ;
  • Chairman of the Association of Medical Universities of the Urals;
  • author of about 300 scientific papers, 8 monographs, several inventions.

He died on September 12, 2018 in Yekaterinburg. He was buried at the Shirokorechensky cemetery .
