Flogging A Dead Horse ( eng. - “Prancing on a dead horse”) - an album- compilation of the British punk band Sex Pistols , which contains the singles of the group from 1976-1979, including some flip sides, released in 1980 . The disc took 23rd place in the British charts .

About the album
Of the 14 songs on the album, 5 are cover versions : “No Fun” by The Stooges (this song could only be found on this album), “ Frank Sinatra 's My Way ”, “Somethin 'Else” and “ C'mon Everybody ” by Eddie Cochran , "Steppin 'Stone" The Monkees . The first half of the record was recorded with the participation of Johnny Rotten , the second - after the band disintegrated in 1978 for the film "The Great Rock and Roll Fraud ".
The collection closes the first phase of the Sex Pistols discography, which was somehow coordinated by their manager Malcolm Maclaren . The next official album - also a compilation - will be released only in 1992 (" Kiss This "); in between the market will be flooded with bootlegs and semi-official records of the studio and concert recordings of the group.
