Biography
In all likelihood, he was a Nubian by origin (in any case, his name in Egyptian means “Negro”). He assisted his pharaoh in the fight against Amenhotep . In the 12th year of the reign of Ramses XI, he was close to Pharaoh, invested with power and was appointed ruler of Thebes . Practically ruled Egypt until the 17th year of the reign of Ramses XI, when he was dismissed and, in all likelihood, sent back to Cush. In any case, his tomb is located there, and Pharaoh, possibly due to these events, left his residence in the north (the city of Tanis ) and settled in Thebes.
