Search Attitudes
Search engines, or rather their issuance and manipulation of it, is the main purpose of link promotion, the two largest search engines in Russia (Yandex and Google) clearly negatively characterize this method of promotion and fight it.
On December 5, 2013, Alexander Sadovsky, head of Yandex Web Search, at a conference dedicated to the promotion of IBC Russia, announced that at the beginning of 2014 commercial inquiries would no longer be manipulated by webmasters using link purchasing. That is, the links put on commercial projects will not be able to affect the ranking in the search engines . This is explained by the introduction of new algorithms, allegedly improving the quality of search results , for which links are not a significant factor.
The first region to fall under this experiment was Moscow. The opinions of webmasters on the account of Sadovsky’s statement were rather scattered. Some continue to buy links on the stock exchanges, while others began to give greater preference to social factors and better integrate their projects with social services. by networks . In the end, the experiment with the disconnection of the reference weight failed, which Sadovsky himself acknowledged, but the invariance of the negative position of Yandex on the reference promotion resulted in a new algorithm for reducing the positions of the sites, which was called Minusinsk (introduced in May 2015, the main stages (iteration) 05/15/2015, 29.05 .2015 and 06/14/2015) under which immediately ranged from 700 to 1,500 link acceptor sites. [1] E.Gladkih described the algorithm in detail at web conferences Third Webmaster Yandex [2] and Fourth Webmaster Yandex [3] . However, due to the very scrupulous attitude of the creators to the disclosure of information about the operation of the algorithm, many questions remained essentially without answers.
A similar algorithm for pessimizing websites for links from Google is called Penguin (the third version of the algorithm already exists at the beginning of 2016), it is more cautious in imposing sanctions, but is very inert, so Google experts are trying to speed up the process of rehabilitating sites from sanctions, it is positioned as the main postulate in the creation of the fourth version of the algorithm, but its input has already been transferred several times [4] .
Purpose of exchanges
Link weight has been and remains one of the important factors affecting a site’s position in search engines. It is determined by the quantity and quality of external links to the site. One of the rather effective tools for increasing the link weight of a site is the so-called. exchange links. Since a sufficiently large number of external links (from several tens to several thousand) is required to obtain a tangible effect, a tool is needed to automate their placement. Link exchanges are an alternative to manually exchanging links.
Since the sale and purchase is a violation of the rules of search engines, such sites are often pessimized in the issue.
Representatives of search engines threaten that the effect obtained from the "sales links" will last a short time, after the sharp popularity of the site will inevitably fall under the penalties of search engines. However, at the moment, under the majority of sanctions only sites involved in the sale or purchase of links on an industrial scale (thousands of pieces) fell.
Recently, so-called eternal exchanges have become very popular, the selectivity of which in relation to the exchange participants largely determines their vitality. The increasing cost of such links is pushing webmasters to more actively build natural reference profiles.
Members
Link exchange participants are usually divided into two categories: webmasters and optimizers. However, this division is not mutually exclusive, any account can simultaneously sell and purchase links).
- Webmasters (link donors)
- participate in the system for earning money through your site by selling places for links (links) from your site to optimizers sites. For each of these links webmaster usually receives a monthly income.
- Optimizers (link acceptors)
- purchase links from other sites ( backlinks ) to their sites in order to improve the positions of these sites in search engines (see reference ranking and search engine optimization ) and increase their traffic.
Pricing
The cost of a link depends on the parameters of the page from which this link is sold and can vary from one cent to several hundred dollars per month. These parameters are:
- Page nesting level (main, 2nd, 3rd, etc.)
- Thematic index of citing the site ( TCI )
- Google PageRank Placement Page
- Number of outbound links from the page
- The quality of the page and the site as a whole
- Site theme
- Domain age
- The presence of filters imposed on the site by search engines
- The quality of the place provided for placing links (the higher to the top of the page, the environment of other links, etc.)
- The presence of the site in the directories DMOZ , YACA
- Domain Level
- Domain Zones
- And a new indicator is the attendance of the site, which can also indirectly say about the quality of the site, since other parameters can be screwed up.
The price of one or another link sets the webmaster with the above parameters. Optimizers buy links from sites at the most reasonable prices for them.
Reference Aggregators
In cooperation with the exchanges, it is necessary to independently select sites for purchasing links, control the existing reference mass, etc. This requires a lot of time and certain knowledge and experience in this field. To simplify the work, reference aggregators can be used.
Reference aggregators are automated link procurement systems based on the strategy chosen by the user. Such services do not cooperate with specific webmasters, they work with exchanges and act as intermediaries between them and optimizers, checking, purchasing and removing links according to specified rules. Purchasing links using aggregators, optimizers perform the minimum number of actions. All that is required is to enter the address of the website being promoted. The rest of the service will be done by itself: it will select inquiries according to the subject of the site, the relevant pages, compile the anchor list, form a budget, and then start purchasing links. In the future, the system will automatically collect the position of the site for promoted requests.
