The house-museum of G. V. Plekhanov is a memorial museum in Lipetsk , located at the address: Plekhanov street , house number 36. The complex covers an area of 0.32 hectares and is a branch of the Lipetsk Museum of Local Lore .

History
The house was acquired by the father of G.V. Plekhanov on October 20, 1867. The family moved to him after Plekhanov entered the Voronezh military gymnasium ; Plekhanov himself came here for the summer holidays.
The historical and revolutionary museum was opened here in 1928 , on the 10th anniversary of the death of G.V. Plekhanov. In the mid-1930s, it became the G.V. Plekhanov Memorial House-Museum ; having existed in this form until 1954.
In 1958, the outbuilding of the building was demolished. In 1969, during the reconstruction of Plekhanov Street , the need arose to move the house deeper into the block - as a result of the work, the house could not stand it and collapsed. Today's L-shaped wooden house is a reconstruction of an existing building. The museum reopened here on December 21, 1977 .
In January 1995, a new exhibition was opened, dedicated to the life of Plekhanov and deprived of the former Soviet ideological orientation.
On October 30, 1998, a monument to Plekhanov was erected in the square in front of the house. The author of the sculpture is E. A. Wolfson .
