History
It was established in 1951 as the Kuibyshev branch of the State Institute for the Design of Oil Refineries Giproneftezavody.
In 1968 , in connection with the transformation of the institute into VNIPIneft, it was renamed the Kuibyshev branch of the All-Union Scientific Research and Design Institute of the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Industry VNIPIneft. [one]
In 1991 , it received the abbreviated name “SAMARANEFTEKHIMPROEKT” after reorganization into the state enterprise “Samara Institute for the Design of Enterprises of the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Industry”.
In 1993 , it was corporatized and included as part of the Kuibyshevnefteorgsintez association into the established oil company Yukos
Owners and management
On May 10, 2007 , during the sale of the assets of the bankrupt Yukos, a controlling stake in the company as part of Lot No. 11 was sold to Neft-Aktiv LLC , an affiliate of Rosneft .
As of June 30, 2007, 86.05% of the shares belonged to Oil-Asset LLC [2]
Activities
The main activity is the development of design documentation for oil refineries that are part of the Rosneft group of companies (formerly for Yukos plants). In 2006-2007, the major contractors of the institute were the Kuybyshevsky oil refinery , the Syzran oil refinery , OJSC Kazanorgsintez .
