Alfred Grütter ( German: Alfred Grütter ; August 31, 1860 - January 30, 1937 ) - Swiss shooter , champion of the 1900 Summer Olympics and five - time world champion .

At the Olympic Games in Paris, Grutter participated in rifle shooting competitions. In standing shooting, he took 7th place with 282 points, off the knee he shared 25th position with 265 points, and lying 23rd place with 285 points. In shooting from three positions, in which all previously accumulated points were added, Grutter is 19th. In the team competition, his team was the first to receive gold awards.
Then, Grutter participated in the World Shooting Championships and became the five-time champion of the competitions of 1899 , 1901 , 1902 and 1903 and 1905 , though only in team shooting.
Grutter received his last gold medal at the 1906 unofficial Olympic Games in Athens , and again in a competition among national teams.
