Moshe Atzmon ( Hebrew משה עצמון , real name Grosberger , Hungarian. Grószberger ; born July 30, 1931 , Budapest ) is an Israeli conductor of Hungarian descent.

Biography
In Israel since the age of 13. He studied music in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as a cellist and trumpeter. In 1960 , he gave up his career as a performer and went to the London Guildhall School of Music to study conducting with Antal Dorati . In 1963 he received the second prize in the competition of conductors Dimitris Mitropoulos, was also noted in Tanglewood .
In 1967 - 1971 chief conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra , in 1971 - 1976 - The North German Radio Symphony Orchestra , in 1978 - 1983 - Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra . In 1991 - 1994 Director General of Dortmund .
