Biography

Born in Mogilev . He began training under the guidance of the deserved trainer of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Mikhailovich Gulyaev [1] . He was a player in Minsk RTI , became with him a two-time champion of Belarus. Then he performed in Poland . He was a player of the youth team of Belarus (U-22), who won the European Championship -1994. He played for the national team of Belarus from 1993 to 2000.

After the end of his playing career he switched to coaching [2] . The last years of his life spent in France .

He died after a serious illness in January 2011 [1] .

Family

His wife, Inna Rodionova (Smirnova) (born 1973) is a Belarusian basketball player [3] .
