Malmö Symphony Orchestra

Malmö Symphony Orchestra ( Swedish: Malmö symfoniorkester ) is a Swedish symphony orchestra based in Malmö .

Founded in 1924 , the first concert took place on January 18, 1925. Since 1944 , the orchestra worked in the Malmo City Theater, combining weekly symphony concerts with musical accompaniment of operas, ballets and operettas. In 1985—2015. performed at the Scania Concert Hall; in 2015, the new Malmö Live Concert Hall opened.
