Delos Records is a US-based independent record company specializing in academic music .
Founded in 1973 by Amelia Haygood , Vice-President for work with musicians - pianist Carol Rosenberger .
The original concept of Delos was the presentation on the market of sound recordings of undervalued, few recording musicians (in particular, conductor James De Priest and harpsichordist Malcolm Hamilton [1] ). Over time, an important place in the production of Delos began to occupy albums of classical music, specially selected for children and young people and pursuing the goal of popularization and enlightenment. At the same time, among the musicians who were recorded at various times for Delos Records are Clara Rockmore , Dmitry Hvorostovsky , Suzanne Macdonald , Marina Domashenko , Janosh Starker , Evgenia Tsukerman , Raffaele Trevisani and other prominent musicians.
