Content
Story
The action takes place in the far taiga village.
Precinct Vasily Seryojkin is sent to serve in a new district. In the first days of his duty on the shore of Lysa Kosa, the body of the zoologist Kalganov, who was killed by a shotgun from a hunting rifle, was discovered. Seryojkin does not find any evidence at the crime scene, except perhaps a trace of a size 37 sneaker.
The circle of suspects primarily includes local hunters, poachers , with whom Kalganov has long and fundamentally fought. The only possible witness, Ivan Sadyk, a cook for the logging team, disappeared into the taiga. The hunters say that he could be a victim of a man-eating tiger.
