Novokuznetsk agglomeration - a large polycentric city ​​agglomeration - conurbation in the south of the Kemerovo region . In terms of population, it occupies the 12-14th place in Russia and is one of the few agglomerations of millionaires in Russian cities-non-millionaires. Industry

Coal industry - mining of 56% of coal and 83% of coking coal in Russia. Mines and open pits are available in all urban districts and municipal districts included in the agglomeration. The main players in the regional market are the largest Russian coal holdings: Kuzbassrazrezugol , Yuzhkuzbassugol , Raspadskaya company.

Metallurgy is concentrated mainly in Novokuznetsk , and is represented by: Novokuznetsk and West Siberian metallurgical plants, ferroalloy and aluminum plants.

The largest enterprises for the production of building materials are represented by the Kuznetsk cement plant , the Baydaevsky brick factory , large house-building plants, enterprises producing glass and soft roofs, mining non-metallic building materials for the needs of construction organizations of the Kemerovo region and beyond.

There are power plants - TPPs of the Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant , West Siberian TPPs , Kuznetskaya TPPs , Yuzhno-Kuzbasskaya TPP , Tomusinskaya TPP , Novokuznetskaya TPP , connected by Southern energy networks of KUZBASSENERGO.

Transport

  • Novokuznetsk-Spichenkovo ​​Airport is a common airport for the metropolitan area.
  • Railways : Artyshta - Novokuznetsk , Novokuznetsk - Tashtagol , Novokuznetsk - Polosukhino , Novokuznetsk - East - Tomusinskaya, Artyshta - Polosukhino - Tomusinskaya - Mezhdurechensk. The center of suburban traffic is Novokuznetsk-Passenger station.
