Pommier du Verger, Charles

Charles Pommier du Verger ( French Charles Paumier du Verger ) is a Belgian shooter , winner of the 1900 and 1908 Summer Olympics and a twelve -time world champion .

At the 1900 Games in Paris, Verger participated in rifle shooting competitions. In standing shooting, he took 3rd place with 298 points and received a bronze medal. In shooting from a knee, he stopped at 9th position with 297 points, and lying down 15th with 302 points. In shooting from three positions, in which all previously accumulated points were added up, Verger became 6th. In the team competition, his team took the last sixth place.

Eight years later, Verger participated in the summer Olympic Games in London in team competitions in pistol and rifle shooting. In the first competition, his team took second place, receiving silver medals. In the second, only the fourth position.

Also, Verger became 12 times world champion, 6 times silver and 12 times bronze medalist of world championships.
