Alessandro Nini ( Italian. Alessandro Nini ; November 1, 1805 , Fano - December 27, 1880 , Bergamo ) was an Italian composer .

He was the home teacher of singing at a noble Russian nobleman, first in Bologna , and then in Petersburg . Returning to Italy, he debuted as an opera composer in 1837 in Venice (opera “Ida della Torre”). Nini's second opera, Marshal d'Ancr ( Italian: La marescialla d'Ancre ; 1839 , after the drama of Alfred de Vigny ), staged in Padua , is considered his greatest success. Later, Nini wrote a number of operas, including Christina Swedish ( ital. Cristina di Svezia ; 1840 ) and Corsair ( ital. Il corsaro ; 1847 ), as well as a significant amount of church music, including Ingemisco for collective Masses according to Rossini ( 1869 ).
