The Stuttgart Higher School of Music and Theater ( German: Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart ) is a higher musical and theatrical educational institution in Germany located in Stuttgart .
It was founded in 1857 as the Stuttgart School of Music, in 1865 it was renamed the Stuttgart Conservatory. Since 1921 - Württemberg Higher School of Music, the current name received after the Second World War . The founders of the school were Immanuel Feist , Sigmund Lebert , Wilhelm Speidel and Ludwig Stark .
