The medal “For works on rural households” is a state award of the Russian Federation . Reasons to award
- The medal “For Works on Agriculture” is awarded to citizens for their merits in the field of agriculture and their great contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex , staff training, scientific and other activities aimed at improving the efficiency of agricultural production.
- Awarding the medal “For Works in Agriculture”, as a rule, is subject to the condition that the person presented for the award has the honorary title “ Honored Worker of Agriculture of the Russian Federation ”.
- Foreign citizens producing agricultural products on the territory of the Russian Federation can also be awarded the medal “For Works on Agriculture” for special merits in the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
Wear Order
- The medal “For Works on Agriculture” is worn on the left side of the chest and, in the presence of other medals of the Russian Federation, is located after the medal “For the Salvation of the Dead” .
- For special occasions and possible everyday wear, a miniature copy of the medal “For Works in Agriculture” is provided, which is located after a miniature copy of the medal “For the Salvation of the Dead”.
- When wearing the uniform “For labor on agriculture”, the ribbon on uniform is placed after the ribbon “For the salvation of the dead”.
Medal Description
Medal
- The medal “For Works on Agriculture” is made of silver with gilding . It has the shape of a circle with a diameter of 32 mm with a convex rim on both sides.
- On the front side of the coin is a straight, equilateral cross with expanding ends, covered with green enamel. Along the edges of the cross is a narrow convex welt. In the center of the cross is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Russian Federation framed by a wreath of wheat ears.
- On the reverse side of the coin there is an inscription in relief letters: “FOR AGRICULTURE WORKS”, under it is the number of the coin.
- The medal, with the help of an eye and a ring, is connected to a pentagonal block covered with a silk, moire ribbon of green color with yellow strips passing at a distance of 1.5 mm from the edges. The width of the tape is 24 mm, the width of the strips is 1.5 mm.

- When wearing the uniform for the labor of agriculture on a uniform, the ribbon uses an 8 mm high bar and 24 mm wide tape.
- A miniature copy of the medal “For Works on Agriculture” is worn on the block. The diameter of the miniature copy of the medal is 16 mm.
Award History
2004
The medal “For labor on agriculture” was established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated March 10, 2004 No. 335 “On the establishment of the medal“ For labor on agriculture ”” [2] . The same decree approved the original Regulation on the medal, which stated:
The medal “For Works on Agriculture” is awarded to citizens for their merits in the field of agriculture and their great contribution to the development of the agro-industrial complex, staff training, scientific and other activities aimed at improving the efficiency of agricultural production. The medal “For Works on Agriculture” is worn on the left side of the chest and is located after the medal “In memory of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg”
and the initial description of the medal, which has slight stylistic differences from the modern one.
2010
In its current form, the Regulation on the medal and its description were approved by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of September 7, 2010 No. 1099 “On measures to improve the state award system of the Russian Federation” [3] .
2011
By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of December 16, 2011 No. 1631, the provision and description of the medal were supplemented with a miniature copy of the medal. [four]
