History
It was based on Cambodian folk melody and was written by Chon Nath , and then edited by F. Perruchot and J. Jekyll. It was originally adopted as an anthem in 1941 and re-approved in 1947 , during the time of independence from France . In 1970, after the overthrow of the monarchy and King Norodom Sihanouk by Lon Nol and the establishment of the republic, the anthem was also replaced with this. After the victory of the Communists in 1975 , royal symbolism was restored for a short time. The Khmer Rouge replaced part of the hymn text with a fragment from Dap Prampi Mesa Chokchey (Glorious April 17th). After the royalist party Funsinpek won the 1993 ex-Communist elections, the royal Nokoreach anthem was reinstated as a state.

In Russian
Heaven keep our king
And grant him happiness and glory
To be the master of our destinies and souls,
The one who inherited from the creative
Monarchs reigned by an ancient proud kingdom.
Temples that doze in the forest
They recall the splendor of Moha Nokor.
Like a rock, the Khmer nation is eternal.
We will believe in the fate of Kampuchea,
An empire that defied centuries.
Songs rise from the pagodas
To the glory of the Buddhist saint religion.
Our ancestors will be faithful,
Then heaven lavish its generosity
To the ancient Khmer country, Moha Nokor.
