Content
Geographical position
Located in the north-east of the Luhansk region. The district borders on the Markov district in the north, in the West - with Starobelsky and Novoaydarsky districts, in the south - with the Stanichno-Lugansk region, in the east - with the Melovsky district, as well as with the Millerovsky district of the Rostov region of Russia.
The Derkul River [3] and its tributary Dubovets flow on the territory of the village, on which the Belovodskaya Dam was built. In the center of the village is a small lake Ritsa.
History
Sloboda Belovodskaya was the center of the Belovodskaya volost of the Starobelsky district of the Kharkov province of the Russian Empire .
On September 29, 1930, the publication of a regional newspaper began here [4] .
Since 1957 - an urban-type settlement.
In 1970, the largest enterprise in the village was a dairy factory [3] .
In January 1989, the population was11 151 people [5] .
In May 1995, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision on the privatization of the repair and construction company located here [6] .
As of January 1, 2013, the population was 8167 people [7] .
Administrative Division
The residential area comprises both the private sector (prevails) and four- and two-story panel and brick houses. The last apartment building was built in 1996.
The village is unofficially divided into districts: "town", center, "galivka", "300 years", "50 years", Gunyan. The historical names of streets and districts: Lebedivka, Malakanivka, Dikivka.
