Disappointment is a salt lake in Western Australia ( Australia ).

In the dry months it dries up.
The lake got its modern name in 1897 and was named so by the traveler Frank Hann , who made a significant contribution to the study of the Pilbara region . Having noticed a large number of streams in the study area, he hoped to find a large freshwater lake. But to his disappointment, the lake turned out to be salty (in English, “disappointment” means disappointment ).
A large number of waterfowl live on the lake.
