Alexander Nikitich Vilboa ( Vilbois ; fr. Alexander Guillemot de Villebois ; 1716 - January 29 ( February 9 ) 1781 , Dorpat ) - the eighth general feldtsheymehmeister of the Russian army, clearly manifested itself during the Seven Years War [1] .

Biography
The youngest son of Rear Admiral Nikita Petrovich Vilboa , a former commandant of the port of Kronstadt, a participant in the Petrine Wars, and Elizaveta Ivanovna Gluck (d. 1757), the daughter of pastor E. Gluck and the lady of the court. In August 1739, a sergeant was enlisted in the Life Guards Bombardy Company . In 1742 he took part in the war with Sweden , in 1744 he was granted, with the rank of colonel , chamber junker to the court of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna . In 1755 he was promoted to major general , in 1758 - to lieutenant general .
Since the beginning of the Seven Years' War in the army, he distinguished himself at Gross-Egersdorf , where he was seriously wounded. For Gross-Egersdorf he was awarded the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky . Member of the siege of Kyustrin , the battle of Palzig . In the Battle of Kunersdorf, he commanded the vanguard of the Russian army, took Frankfurt (Oder) . In January 1762, the Velikolutsk Infantry Regiment was named after him, in February of the same year he was appointed General-Feldzeichmeister , that is, the head of the artillery department, and a month later - a member of the Military Collegium. Also introduced to the Imperial Council .
According to the biographer, the abundance and volume of resolutions with which he supplied all the submissions received to him in all four departments entrusted to him, as general-feldzeichmeister, were artillery, engineering, weapons and cadet corps. Many of them contain “whole instructions and regulations, most of them extremely useful and fully resolving all difficulties”. Vilboa’s activities as general-feldsmekhmeister promised to be very fruitful, but in 1765 he was forced to ask for his resignation due to health reasons: the consequences of a serious injury.
After retiring, he sold his new home at 30 Nevsky Prospect to Prince A.M. Golitsyn and retired to the Livland estate Sarrakus. As a deputy from the province of Livonia, he participated in the work of the Legislative Commission .
Alexander Nikitich Vilboa died on February 9, 1781 at his estate Sarrakus (Est. Sarakuste ) [2] and was buried there. A part of his estate was inherited by his grandson EI Palmenbach .
