Biography

Born on August 29, 1958.

She grew up in the village of Moskvorechye. Olga's father was a wealthy man since the Stalin era : he had a car, garage, jewelry. He died young, at 35, when his daughter was 2 years old [1] . Then a rude, despotic stepfather appeared in the family, who worked as a watchman. There was not enough money, and in order to somehow feed her family, her mother worked in a chemical plant in two shifts. Olga's older (10 years old) brother, Sasha [2] , aged 18 as a result of a sore throat, received serious heart complications ( three-valvular heart disease ) and, being paralyzed, managed to get on his feet over time. He died in 1983 at the age of 35, like his father. Olga has a half-sister Tatyana.

Education

“She first appeared on the scene in a pioneer camp. And such a shame happened - forgot the words! I’ve got enough of it and decided for myself: I won’t sing anymore! ”

- Olga Zarubina: I am happy that you have not forgotten me

I fell in love with singing in kindergarten. In the pioneer camp named after V.I. Lenin, she first appeared on the stage. At the age of 10, when she saw a pianist playing on TV, she became interested in playing the piano and went to a music school, where she studied for 7 years along with the main one [2] . At the main school she participated in all music competitions and performances. After graduating from school in 1975, she entered the Moscow Medical School No. 37 (now Medical College No. 5 ). I studied in it for 2 years, passed the practice at the Institute of Neurosurgery and received the profession of a nurse. But the profession has not been useful to the future singer for a long time.

“I entered the medical school on the advice of my mother. I think she and her stepfather wanted me to become independent faster and leave home. ”

- Olga Zarubina: I am happy that you have not forgotten me

Creativity

Studying at a medical school, Olga sang at student evenings in the student ensemble. At one of the competitions, she and their team member Sergei Korzhukov (future soloist of the Lesopoval group), who also studied at this school, performed songs from the movie " Romance of Lovers ", after which they won first places. This duet was noticed at a chansonnier contest by Alexander Zaborsky and invited both to his group "Postal Stagecoach" at the Moscow Central Post Office. So Olga studied at the school and, in her free time, sang in a new group. The first meeting with composer Vyacheslav Dobrynin takes place at the General Post Office in 1977. Dobrynin invited the popular ensemble “ Leysya, song ” (led by Mikhail Shufutinsky ) to listen to the young singer. Olga is listening and recordings the song “You'll See” with the backing vocal ensemble.

The first appearance of Olga Zarubina on the TV screen takes place all the same in 1977 in the TV show “Sing, Friends!”, With “A Song about the Captain”.

In 1977, at a competition of young performers in the Palace of Culture. Gorbunova on the young singer drew the attention of the composer David Tukhmanov , who was sitting in the jury. He wrote in a notebook the name of the singer and promised to write a song for her soon. And he kept his promise. A year later, David Tukhmanov’s song “It Shouldn't Be” to the poetry of the poet Leonid Derbenev was performed by the singer in the New Year’s Blue Flame (broadcast on January 1, 1979), a duet with artist Mikhail Boyarsky , which brought Zarubina all-Union fame. A number was also shot for the festival “ Song of the Year ” (however, subsequently the number was cut from the air).

After that competition, at the end of 1977, on the advice of Tukhmanov, Olga Zarubin was invited to work in VIA “Music” (artistic director Nikolai Vorobyov), a strict and responsible person, to play the main female role as Assol in the opera extravaganza “Scarlet Sails”, as a composer and whose poet is Andrei Bogoslovsky . Zarubina not only brilliantly performed her role (in the children's and teenage parts), but also recorded songs with the ensemble: “Spring insomnia”, “I will come to you”, “Not always”, “Not handsome”, etc. In 1979 she performed the songs for the film “Summer Tour”: “My Joy” and “Take Me With You” by composer Alexei Mazhukov and poet Mikhail Tanich . In 1980, VIA “Muzyka” broke up due to a false accusation of its leader allegedly stole and sold musical instruments from his collective. Nikolai Vorobyov left the ensemble. Taking the opportunity, the head of the Moskontsert Mikhail Ilyich Yakon created the Metronome ensemble and took part of the composition, including Olga Zarubina, from VIA Muzyka. Having not worked for a long time in the new team, Zarubina left him for the solo branch of the Moskontsert. Arriving at Metronome, the still unknown musician Alexander Vyguzov (later Malinin) struck up a relationship with Olga. In 1983, the couple got married, but a three-year marriage was fragile. They broke up in 1985, right after their daughter Kira was born.

“It was necessary to get married, if only because Sasha did not have a Moscow residence permit. She herself told him. "

Olga Zarubina repeatedly participated in the television program “The wider circle” (1977-1991, including the leading issues of the program for the holidays on March 8, November 7 and the New Year in 1983). Repeatedly participated in the program " Morning Mail " (in 1982, 1983, 1985 and 1986). The most famous composers and poets wrote songs for her: Alexey Mazhukov, Mikhail Tanich, Leonid Derbenev, Vyacheslav Dobrynin, Mikhail Ryabinin , Igor Azarov and many others.

After the divorce, she sang in the restaurant of the Cosmos Hotel [3] . In 1985, the solo minion Kukla, published by Melody, was released.

In 1987, she met her future husband, the famous administrator Vladimir Evdokimov, who helped her return to the stage and arranged her a tour [3] . The greatest success came in the late 1980s , when Zarubina entered the finals of the “ Song of the Year ” television festival twice (in 1987, with her most popular song, “Music plays on a motor ship,” and in 1989, with the song “Walk Free”). In 1988, 1990 and 1991 participated in intermediate releases of the festival [4] ). In 1988, the singer became a laureate of the Soviet Song Festival in Zelenaya Gora .

In 1988, the film “ Primorsky Boulevard ” was released, in which Olga Zarubina sang two songs, one of them (“Why aren't we together?”) A duet with singer Evgeny Golovin . In 1991, Olga Zarubina created one of the most feminine images on the screen, playing a witch doctor in the movie “ Mad Lori ”.

In the late 1980s, the TV show " Perestroika Spotlight " featured a story about Olga Zarubina's performance under a phonogram at a concert in Cheboksary . After this, the singer’s career began to decline [3] .

In June 1991, due to creative dissatisfaction, she decided to fly with her husband and daughter [3] to the USA . She worked in Seattle as a nurse, then as a medical translator [3] . She recorded 2 albums, but failed to release the second one: there were a lot of songs recorded after the suspension of Olga's career.

In 2007, at the invitation of the NTV channel, Olga Zarubina returned to Russia to participate in the program “ You are superstar! ". From this moment, her work continued at home. Zarubina took part in many television programs, traveled to the cities of Russia with a tour.

In 2008, her husband Vladimir Evdokimov died. A year later, at an anniversary concert, the GUVD of the Moscow Region met with the administrator Andrei Salov, who soon became her third husband [3] .

In 2012, a new disc was released, “It is no coincidence,” which included both new songs and proven hits (“Razutnitsa”, “The Ship”, “The Sky of Childhood”, “It Shouldn't Be That Way” and others), recorded in new arrangements .

In December 2015, a new song “The Boat” was recorded (A. Karelin - L. Rubalskaya).
