When submitting documents (February 7, 1686) for the introduction of the genus in the Velvet Book , the genealogy of the Selivanovs was provided [2] .
The genus is included in the VI part of the genealogy books of Ryazan [3] , Vladimir and Kostroma provinces (Herbovnik, X, 49).
Another genus of the Selivanovs (or, perhaps, a branch of the previous one) dates back to the beginning of the 17th century (1610) and is included in the VI and II parts of the genealogy books of the Tambov, Penza and Voronezh provinces.
There is also the Selivanov family, dating back to the beginning of the 17th century and included in the VI part of the genealogy of the Ryazan province, and several genera of later origin.

Genesis and history
One of them comes from Tatar Kichibey (Kichi-bey), who was transferred to Grand Duke Fedor Olegovich Ryazansky from the Great Horde , who was named Selivan at the baptism and received the title of boyar . Boyarin Vasily Selivanovich (mentioned on December 1, 1506) [4] , Ivan Vasilievich Selivanov (mentioned on 10/11/1529) [4] , Fedor Vasilyevich Selivanov died near Kazan (1524) [5] , Grigory Vasilyevich Selivanov (1531) [6] .
Ignatius Mikhailovich Selivanov, governor in Zaraysk (1664–1665), his brother, Pavel , governor in Karpov (1654–1656). The son of the first of them, the stolnik Ivan , governor in Korocha under Peter the Great , and his brother Maxim - in Yelets, on Uderd and in Pereyaslavl-Ryazan. Matrena Romanovna Selivanova , after Leontyev’s husband (from 1674) the boyar, mother and treasurer of Tsarevich Peter Alekseevich .
Emblem Description
The shield is divided horizontally into two parts, of which in the upper field in the blue field are two silver moons and above them in the clouds a red cross (amend. Polish coat of arms Krunevich ). In the lower part in a golden field, divided in two, are depicted: on the right side is a warrior in armor holding a spear in his left hand, and on the left side a rider galloping to the right side with a raised sword.
The shield is crowned with a noble helmet and a crown with three ostrich feathers. The bastard on the shield is blue, lined with gold. Shieldholders: two Asians with bows.

- Selivanov Nikita Ivanovich - a roommaker of Tsar Peter Alekseevich (1686-1692).
- Selivanovs: Mikhail and Ivan Pavlovichi, Boris and Ivan the lesser Pavlovichi - solicitors (1658-1692).
- Selivanovs: Yuri and Ivan Romanovichi, Dmitry Maksimovich, Dmitry and Ivan the Great Pavlovichi, Maxim, Ivan and Dmitry Ignatievichi - stolniks (1680-1692) [7] .
- Fedor Mikhailovich (d. 1782) - Vice Admiral, Comptroller General of the Admiralty College.
- Selivanov Alexander Fedorovich - Russian writer, teacher, local historian.
- Selivanov Dmitry Fedorovich (1855-1932) - Russian mathematician and teacher.
- Vasily Vasilievich Selivanov (1813–1875), a writer and Ryazan zemstvo leader, left interesting “Traditions and Memories” (St. Petersburg, 1881) about his son Alexei Vasilievich.
