Stefan VI Rares ( Mold. Stefan VI Rares ; died 1552 ) - ruler of the Principality of Moldova from June 11, 1551 until September 1, 1552 , the youngest son of Peter IV Rares .

Biography
He ascended the Moldovan throne after his elder brother, who converted to Islam. According to chroniclers, during the reign he showed greed and cruelty. This set up a boyar opposition against him. Many boyars fled to Poland . As a result of the conspiracy, Stefan was killed in the village of Tsutsora on the Prut .
The new sovereign was elected John Zholda .
