Biography

Lyudmila Erofeeva was born on September 13, 1937 in Kalinin (now Tver , Russia ).

In 1951 she graduated from Kalinin Children's Music School. Mussorgsky, in 1955 - Kalinin School of Music and Pedagogy (now Tver Pedagogical College), in 1960 - State Music and Pedagogical Institute. Gnesins ( Moscow ) (now the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music ) (singing class by N. A. Verbova).

Since 1960 - soloist of the Moldavian Opera and Ballet Theater (now the National Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Moldova named after Maria Biesu) in Chisinau .

She toured the cities of the former USSR and abroad: the UK , Egypt , Bulgaria and other countries.

In the 1980s, she participated in productions of the operas Duenya by S. Prokofiev and Markitant by S. Cortes .

She performed in concerts. Her chamber repertoire is rich and diverse. More than once the singer turned to the works of Russian music, performing arias from N. Rimsky-Korsakov ’s operas “ Sadko ”, “The Snow Maiden ”, “ The Tale of Tsar Saltan ”, “The Golden Cockerel ” and M. Mussorgsky “ Sorochinskaya Fair ” [1] .

Member of the CPSU since 1967 .

She died on March 11, 2003 in Chisinau. She was buried at the Central (Armenian) cemetery .
